Challenge
Air-crash breakdowns are one of the most saturated formats on the platform, audiences have seen dozens of near-identical “black box” videos, and the investigation reports themselves are dense, technical documents written for regulators, not viewers. The real difficulty isn’t finding the facts, it’s making a windshear diagram and an autothrottle logic quirk land as genuine tension for someone who has never flown a plane.
Solution
We built the script around a literal countdown, the final 26 seconds from threshold to impact, called out in altitude, running underneath the wider investigative context of crew history, airport weather, and the windshear system that failed silently. That countdown structure does the pacing work a script normally has to fight for.
What thisdemonstrates
Turning a formal investigation report into an accessible, tense narrative without inventing or dramatizing beyond the record, every technical claim (ground effect, autothrottle behaviour, TOGA switch logic) is accurate to the source material.
