Challenge
Pip needed to feel like the same character in every expression, pose and scene. The action had to read instantly for a young audience, while the kindness-led story still needed enough pace and personality to hold attention.
The production also needed a repeatable visual language so new Pip stories, reactions and short-form cutdowns could be created without the character changing identity between deliverables.
Solution
We established Pip’s character rules first: silhouette, palette, expressions, movement style and the visual limits of the world. Storyboards then locked the emotional beats before animation began, keeping revisions focused and protecting the pacing.
The final sequence combines Pip’s expressive reactions with purposeful motion, clean transitions and sound cues that support the action. Key moments were composed to work as both a complete story and standalone social clips.
What thisdemonstrates
Pip demonstrates how a disciplined animation pipeline can protect an original character’s identity while still leaving room for personality, speed and platform-ready variations.
- Character continuity across scenes
- Clear visual storytelling without exposition
- Reusable assets for episodic production
